Narune sits on a coastal plain on the south western shore of the Inner Sea.
Once a provence of the Empire of Cabra and before that an outpost of the Kingdom of Kabor. To its south is a vast desert were few live except for the nomadic Hashin The wasteland is known as the Golden Desert and every year it encroaches further north.
.Following the collapse of Cabra the lands on the south of the inner sea were left largely untouched by the barbaric hordes that marauded across the northern areas of the fallen empire. Here the old governorships gave way to kingdoms and life continued much as it was before. The Narune developed trade to the south through a caravan route to the lands beyond the desert. The people there were primative but their lands are rich with natural resources. Gemstones, precious metals, Scrimshaw, and cotton textiles moved north through the Golden Wastes to Narune and from Narune to the world.
Almost 800 years ago something came north alongside the trade goods, a new religion. called Satya. The religion spread like a wildfire across the southern lands of Cabra. Preaching a militant conversion of infidels the Kingdoms of the south began exporting this new faith. In the 27P the Prophet Carce met with the King of Narune and the newly converted King began construction of a grand cathedral known as the Cathedral of the Setting Sun. In the cathedral rests the right arm of the profit it is the most powerful religious structure after the Cathedral of the Rising Sun in the Eastern Kingdom of Pesh. Impassioned with his new religeous zeal, King Martek raised an army to cross the Inner Sea and bring his faith to Ibir.
